On May 5, 2026, the series will come to a close with ARCHANGEL’S ETERNITY.
I’m counting down the days until the final story is told by sharing my reviews for each book in the series.
In ARCHANGEL'S LINEAGE, Elena struggles with the mortality of her human family.
Archangel Raphael along with the rest of the Cadre have a lot of business to attend to, including the search for a missing archangel.
There is SO much action in this book. You’ll definitely read past your bedtime.
Don’t forget the tissues! It’s a tear-jerker!
About the Book
New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh’s dangerous and beautiful world of archangels, vampires, and mortals has never faced a threat this cataclysmic…
Raphael and Elena are experiencing their first ever year of true peace. No war. No horrors of archangelic power. No nightmares given flesh. Until…the earth beneath the Refuge begins to tremble, endangering not only angelkind’s precious and fragile young, but the very place that has held their most innocent safe for eons.
Amid the chaos, Elena’s father suffers a violent heart attack that threatens to extinguish their last chance to heal the bonds between them and make sense of the ruins of their agonizing shared history.
Even as Elena battles grief, Raphael is torn from her side by the sudden disappearance of an archangel. But worse yet is to come. An Ancestor, an angel unlike any other, stirs from his Sleep to warn the Cadre of a darkness so terrible that it causes empires to fall and civilizations to vanish.
This time, even the Cadre itself may not be able to stop a ticking clock that is counting down at frightening speed…
My Review
5 Million Stars
Nalini Singh wrung out my soul, shattered my heart and painstakingly–and lovingly–mended it back together in ARCHANGEL'S LINEAGE.
OMG! I cried SO much while reading this book.
Elena's father suffers a grave medical emergency and Elena flies to her father's bedside as fast as she can. They have a complicated relationship and trauma bonded when Elena was a young child.
Throughout the series, Jeffrey Devereux has been a disapproving father who blames Elena and her "lifestyle" as a hunter born for many things that have happened in the past. It's always been a point of contention and has drawn a wedge between them, despite the fact that being hunter born is hereditary and it's the foundation of who Elena is.
This family was broken so many years ago and never truly healed. With time running out for Jeffrey, we can only hope that it's not too late to right the wrongs of the past and mend this rift.
Archangel Raphael is busy with the Cadre trying to find a lost archangel, figure out who'll oversee the abandoned lands, protect the most vulnerable from the changes in the Refuge, all while trying to be there for his Elena during this heartbreaking time.
The story is beautiful, heartbreaking, heart wrenching, unbelievable, passionate, explosive, amazing, exciting, nail-biting, tear-jerking, lovely, and everything you want (or need) in a Nalini book.
ARCHANGEL'S LINEAGE is packed FULL of surprises! I cannot wait for everyone to read it! I whole-heartedly recommend the entire Guild Hunter series and EVERY book by Nalini Singh!
