Review: Holiday Wedding by Dr. Melissa Dymond

 Christmas in November!

Holiday Wedding is the second book in Dr. Melissa Dymond's Holiday Romance series!

Melissa offers two versions of her books:

πŸŽ„ A spicy/open-door version with mild explicit language and sex scenes

πŸŽ„ A sweet/clean/closed-door version with no language and only kissing.

Melissa want ALL of her readers to feel comfortable, so please choose the best version for you.

About the Book

The forecast for this romance is stormy.

Gwen

Gwen and Caleb are madly in love, so walking down the aisle should be as smooth as Santa sliding down the chimney on Christmas Eve, but when Jack Frost sends a blizzard, their Christmas cookies start to crumble. And the icing on the gingerbread house? There’s a stalker on the loose! This Holiday Wedding isn’t looking so holly jolly. It’ll take a Christmas miracle to get these two married.

Jenny

Jenny’s life is a lump of coal. Her career as a reporter has stalled, and her boss is grinch. Eager to leave LA, she dusts off her snow boots to spend a month in New York covering Caleb Lawson, fiancΓ© of her best friend, Gwen. New York is merry and bright except for Dean, Caleb’s grumpy bodyguard. He put Jenny on the naughty list years ago. When these two reluctantly join forces to hunt down Caleb’s stalker, the hot cocoa starts steaming. But can this maid of honor and best man make it down the aisle before their newfound feelings turn frosty?

My Review

Holiday Wedding is the continuation of the happily ever after in Holiday Star. Gwen and Caleb are getting married! This story follows their trials and tribulations to get to the altar while dodging a stalker, balancing careers, and dealing with stardom during a surprise nor'easter at Christmastime. Can their love truly endure or is it curtains for the happy couple?

I really enjoyed the story because we get TWO storylines in one! Jenny is Gwen’s best friend and she’s got a love/hate relationship with Dean, Caleb’s bodyguard. Jenny made a big mistake in the last book and has been trying to make up for it ever since. Dean’s been secretly enamored with Jenny for years but he’s got some demons of his own and doesn’t want them to touch Jenny. As the two are roped into wedding planning and discovering the identity of the stalker, tensions boil over into an all-out fiery passion that neither one of them are prepared for–but we are!

Everyone is going to need a little patience, a lot of grace, and a Christmas miracle to get through this holiday.

Holiday Wedding has it all - steamy romance, suspense, mystery, surprises, and a whole lot of love. The book can be read as a standalone but I recommend you read Holiday Star to watch Gwen and Caleb’s love story unfold. It’s a joy to watch.
